History
My educational journey began in 1993 during my time in the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC). As a repeat offender, I cycled in and out of the system—not because I lacked the desire for a better life, but because I lacked structure and a true understanding of addiction. For years, addiction dictated my choices and direction.
Everything changed on December 15, 2007, when I entered recovery. I learned that recovery is not a single event but a mental, physical, and spiritual transformation. That realization reshaped my life. With structure, support, and education, I finally gained the tools to take back control.
As my life improved, I felt called to do more for those still suffering. That calling led me to enroll in college with the goal of becoming an addiction counselor. Today, I serve as an addiction counselor and therapist at Cornerstone Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment. I am also a Certified Peer Support Specialist and recently earned my Addiction Drug Counselor certification.
I am committed to walking alongside individuals caught in the grip of addiction and searching for a way out. My life is dedicated to being a living example that recovery is not only possible — it is transformative.

House coordinator
Ronda oversees and coordinates the aspects of the daily routines of the women, to include transportation, scheduling, on-line and in-house meetings, as well as manages the repairs necessary to keep the house running.

I moved to South Carolina from Pennsylvania in 2013 with my husband, John. After serving 26 years with the Pennsylvania State Police and retiring with the rank of Major, I knew I wanted to continue serving others through my church and community in a different capacity.
At first, I thought moving might be a challenge to that goal. However, as I have learned, when one church door closes, God opens another. Immanuel Lutheran Church has provided me with some of the most rewarding and fulfilling opportunities to serve that I could have hoped for.
Kinard Manor–Restoration Chapel truly embodies its mission. Since its inception, I have had the privilege of volunteering alongside these remarkable women as they navigate one of life's most difficult journeys. During my career in law enforcement, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact addiction can have on individuals and families. On a personal level, I have also experienced how addiction can affect loved ones and family relationships.
Through our table talks, we have traveled many of life's roads together, sharing both tears of joy and tears of sorrow. Throughout every challenge, we have remained grounded in the faith that God will carry us through. These courageous women have demonstrated incredible strength, resilience, and determination in their battle against addiction. They have come to understand that they do not face these trials alone. Their Heavenly Father, Lynne and I, and their entire church family stand beside them every step of the way.
The mutual respect, love, and faith shared at Kinard Manor are rooted in Jesus' commandment to love one another. It is a blessing to witness God's work in the lives of these women and to be part of a community that offers hope, encouragement, and unconditional support.
I look forward to continuing to work and support this amazing ministry as it continues to rebuild lives, faith, and families.

Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church
Greenwood SC
Pastor Chris serves as Pastor and Chaplain to the ladies and staff at Restoration Chapel, Greenwood. He also serves as the coordinator of facility services to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable living environment.
Many of the residents of the program attend Immanuel for worship services and special events. They also volunteer in a number of our community outreach ministries, such as our Soup Kitchen and Food Bank. We host two Narcotics Anonymous, NA, meetings each week that they attend.
As Pastor/Chaplain, Pastor Chris supports and advises them as they request. He also attends bi-monthly "Table Talk" sessions, where we bring a hearty meal for all, and open the table up for questions and discussion of any nature... No topic off-limits!
Pastor Chris is a graduate of Elon University, holding a BA in Biology. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USMC and served active duty, achieving the rank of Captain. Before seminary, he taught at Scotland High School in Laurinburg, NC for 2 and a half years. He graduated from LTSS in 1994 and has served in NC, NY, LA, and now SC.

After a rewarding 31-year career as an elementary school teacher , I continue to find joy in helping others learn, grow, and reach their potential. Five years ago, my family and I relocated to Greenwood, SC, from Hendersonville, NC and have been blessed to become part of this wonderful community.
I enjoy spending time with family, baking, cooking, and serving others through volunteer work. One of my greatest passions is volunteering at Restoration Chapel, where I have the privilege of encouraging and supporting women as they continue their journey of recovery and personal growth.
My faith has always been a guiding force in my life, and I am grateful for opportunities to serve others, build meaningful relationships, and share God’s love through acts of kindness and encouragement. Being part of this church family is a true blessing, and I look forward to continuing to serve.
